One component that is intended to make WinDIY safer is the pitch actuator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This allows the angle of attack of the wing to be changed using a push rod. In an emergency (e.g. if the speed is too high), the angle of attack can be changed so that the wind can no longer transfer sufficient energy to the blades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this way, the speed can be effectively reduced, especially in strong winds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
