With the plugin you can easily control the built-in LED matrices and with the help of the other functions it is relatively easy to display your own animations and notifications on the LED matrix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">pxlBlck platform<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Before you continue with the installation of the plugin, you should have already set up the hardware for your pxlBlck. You can find the assembly instructions for the various pxlBlck platforms under the following link<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/nerdiy.de\/en\/day\/pxlblckplatform\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/nerdiy.de\/tag\/pxlblckplattform\/<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Installing the plugin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As already mentioned, the pxlBlck plugin is a plugin for the ESPEasy framework. You would therefore first have to flash ESPEasy onto your ESP8266 or ESP32. The PxlBlck plugin should of course already be included. The combination of EspEasy framework including pxlBlck plugin is simply called \"firmware\". <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are basically two ways to get the firmware onto your ESP8266 or ESP32. One is described in the article <a href=\"https:\/\/nerdiy.de\/en\/howto-espeasy-flashing-firmware-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><em>ESPEasy - Compile firmware, flash and configure WLAN access data<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second possibility is that you program fully compiled \"binaries\" on the ESP8266 or ESP32. You can read how this works here: <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/nerdiy.de\/en\/howto-esp8266-mit-dem-esptool-bin-dateien-unter-windows-flashen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ESP8266 - Flash .bin files on Windows using Esptool<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will find the current binary in the next section. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Binaries or precompiled firmware <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the following list you will find the link to the current release. This is the only way your pxlBlck can receive and display event messages or the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How you can transfer the WLAN access data to ESPEasy (i.e. your programmed pxlBlck) is described in the article <strong><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/nerdiy.de\/en\/howto-espeasy-flashing-firmware-2\/\" target=\"_blank\">ESPEasy - Compile firmware, flash and configure WLAN access data<\/a><\/em><\/strong> described<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I personally find it easiest to configure the access data via the serial interface. The easiest way to do this is via the ESPEasy web menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To do this, enter the IP address of your pxlBlck in the address bar of your browser.
