Because no one is born with this knowledge or the ability to do so. Nevertheless, sooner or later you will be faced with the problem of having to\/want to send a friend a vacation photo, text file or something similar.
\nHow to do this is explained in the following article.<\/p>\n

Ultimately, attaching files to emails isn't difficult. The procedure is very similar in any email program or web menu. The only thing they all have in common: the files you want to attach shouldn't take up too much storage space. Some email providers offer up to 50MB per email. But most of them settled at around 10MB. I explained how you can find out the file size of your file or even reduce it in this article: WinRar? WinZip? WinWhat? \u2013 Darling I shrunk the files!<\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

Overview<\/h2>\n

I will explain how to send emails with attachments in this case using the example of the web client from Web.de. As already mentioned above, many email providers are very similar. So if you're not on Web.de then it will probably look a little different for you, but sending with attachments will still work. I also made comments about other email providers in a few places in the article.<\/p>\n

First, you have to log in to your Web.de account as usual. Shortly afterwards you will be greeted by your personal homepage.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Start a new email<\/h2>\n
\"\"<\/a>
Now the first thing you have to do is start a new email. To do this, click on \u201cWrite an email\u201d at the top left.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\n

Select an attachment<\/h2>\n
\"\"<\/a>
To select the file you want to send, click on the small paper clip. (If you are not on Web.de and still want to send an email with an attachment, then look for the symbol of a paper clip. This often indicates the option to select an attachment in other email programs.)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

In the file window that now opens, navigate to the location of the file you want to send. Once there, click on the file once with the left mouse button. This will mark the file and therefore appear bluish. Then all you have to do is click on \u201cOpen\u201d. If you are not yet familiar with how to navigate to a specific file, I recommend this blog article: Many of the basics are explained in detail there.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Write an email<\/h2>\n
\"\"<\/a>
After you click \u201cOpen,\u201d the window will close and the file will be uploaded. This will take some time depending on the speed of your internet connection and the file size. (More information about this in this article: Downloads\/Uploads - How the files come from the Internet and also disappear there again<\/a>.) After the file is uploaded, it will be displayed above the paper clip. You can now see the file type (in this case .txt) and the beginning of the file name.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Now all you have to do is write the rest of your email. So enter the recipient address, subject and of course a small text. Once you have done all of this, click \u201cSend\u201d and your email will be sent.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
