In the articles Reading data from an SMA EV CHARGER 22 wallbox and Node Red – read out SMA Sunny Home Manager data I had already described how to read out the respective measurement data.
In addition to these SMA devices, there is also an SMA inverter in my network. Its measurement data can of course also be read out.
In the following article I have described how you can read this data using Node Red.
Safety instructions
I know the following notes are always kind of annoying and seem unnecessary. Unfortunately, many people who knew "better" have lost eyes, fingers or other things due to carelessness or injured themselves. Data loss is almost negligible in comparison, but even these can be really annoying. Therefore, please take five minutes to read the safety instructions. Because even the coolest project is not worth injury or other trouble.

Requirements
Helpful articles:
So that you can use NodeRed, NodeRed should of course already be installed on your Raspberry Pi.
How to prepare a Raspberry Pi for this and then install NodeRed on it is described in the following articles.
- RaspberryPi – setup for nerdiys!
- RaspberryPi – Tuee First configuration!
- RaspberryPi – Control the RaspberryPi via SSH
- NodeRed – Installing NodeRed on the RaspberryPi
- NodeRed – Install new nodes
- NodeRed - import and export node code
In the following lists you will find all the parts you need to implement this article.

SMA Sunny Inverter Requirements
So that the data of your SMA Sunny inverter can be read, it should already be in operation and connected to your network. If you can already read out the data from your inverter with the SMA app, everything should be set up correctly.
Import Node Red code
In this section you will find the Node Red code you need. How you can import this into your NodeRed environment is in the article NodeRed - import and export node code described.
To be able to use the node code linked below, all you have to do is enter the (local) access data for your inverter. You can find information about this further down in the article.
You can find the NodeRed code in the Nerdiy Git repository at the following link:

I also have in the article how you can find out the IP address of devices in your network

Have fun with the project
I hope everything worked as described for you. If not or you have questions or suggestions please let me know in the comments. I will then add this to the article if necessary.
Ideas for new projects are always welcome. 🙂
PS Many of these projects - especially the hardware projects - cost a lot of time and money. Of course I do this because I enjoy it, but if you think it's cool that I share the information with you, I would be happy about a small donation to the coffee fund. 🙂
Hello my best man,
Great thing, but I use a SunnyBoy 4.0 and unfortunately nothing happens (installer and password including IP were entered and the SunnyBoy was also specified). I would like to send a few screenshots, but unfortunately that is not possible. There is no activity in the debug window and no values are displayed in the dashboard.
Do you have any idea what could be wrong? If I access the SunnyBoy via browser with the IP, it works of course (HTTPS has strangely not worked for 7 years). I have also removed this under properties so that HTTP is used.
I am slightly desperate...
