Pushbullet is a free and easy way to receive push messages on your smartphone or computer from many sources like NodeRed or Arduinos. Pushbullet provides an API code so you can access Pushbullet’s features through other devices such as an Arduino, RasberryPi or NodeRed. How to request this is described in the following article.
Create a pushbullet account
If you do not have a Pushbullet account yet you have to create an account at https://www.pushbullet.com/. “Create” in this case only means that you have to log in with a Google or Facebook account. Which type of account you choose does not matter.
Request pushbullet API code
After logging in, the API code is just a few clicks away.
You can now copy and paste this code into your NodeRed configuration or your Arduino code to send Pushbullet messages to your devices.
An example to send pushbullet messages via NodeRed can be found in the article NodeRed – Send pushbullet messages at events
I hope everything worked as described. If not or you have any other questions or suggestions, please let me know in the comments. Also, ideas for new projects are always welcome. 🙂
P.S. Many of these projects - especially the hardware projects - cost a lot of time and money. Of course I do this because I enjoy it, but if you appreciate it that I share these information with you, I would be happy about a small donation to the coffee box. 🙂
